Brynderwen Surgery is a large, busy GP practice in the St. Mellons area and Minster Surgery is the branch site in the Roath area of Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity to develop experience and build a career in Primary Care.
We are looking to recruit into a reception and administrative position to support us in delivering the best possible care we can to our 19,000 patients. This is an exciting and challenging role in a busy environment. You will be part of a friendly, growing team and wider team of receptionists, doctors, nurses, and administrative staff.
You should be capable, enthusiastic, with proven accurate and efficient keyboard skills. Meticulous attention to detail is an essential part of the role. Prioritising a busy workload, being a good team player and having the ability to undertake a wide range of duties are some of the qualities you should have.
Full training and support will be provided with a structured induction period to ensure a full understanding of the VISION clinical system; you should have sound, general computer knowledge. Flexibility in working hours is necessary to cover any periods of colleague absence and the ability to work from either Surgery.This is a permanent contract. Normal hours of work will be 30 hours per week: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri 08:00 – 14:00 or 12:30 – 18:30, dependent on practice need. All staff are required to work at our branch at Minster Surgery, or the main site at Brynderwen Surgery. This is a relief position and the flexibility to work at either site, in different roles is central to the position.
