Join our dedicated, multi-skilled team at Llan Healthcare, a dynamic GP training practice serving a patient list size of 20,000. We are currently looking for an experienced and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our supportive team across our two sites in Llanedeyrn and Llanrumney. With a full complement of healthcare professionals, including six other nurses, we are committed to providing high quality care and fostering a collaborative, learning focused environment.

Key Information:

  • Salary: £44,464 - £52,219 (whole-time equivalent), based on experience.
  • Hours: Flexible working options available: 16 hours (2 days), 24 hours (3 days), or 32 hours (4 days) per week.
  • Locations: Llanedeyrn and Llanrumney sites.
  • Training Environment: As a GP training practice, we also host placements for medical students, physician associates (PAs), and nurses, giving you the chance to contribute to their education and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chronic Disease Management: Support patients with chronic conditions such as asthma, COPD, and diabetes.
  • Immunisations & Vaccinations: Administer vaccinations for both adults and children.
  • Health Screening & Promotion: Conduct screening services, including cervical smears, health checks, and offer lifestyle advice.
  • Treatment Room Duties: Perform procedures like wound care and dressing changes.
  • Student Involvement: Mentor and support students from medical, PA, and nursing placements, contributing to their learning.

Additional Areas of Responsibility:

  • Research: Participate in research initiatives aimed at improving patient care and healthcare practices.
  • Women’s Health: Provide specialised care in women’s health services, including Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC).
  • Nursing Home Services: Provide care to several local nursing homes.

Training and Development Opportunities:
